Wow! It’s been a while that I didn’t update my blog. In fact I didn’t do it at all in the month of Nov and without knowing it, end of 2007 is just around the corner.I was supposed to talk about the Personal Wealth Forum but really, there’s nothing to talk about but just that I was so happy to meet and be inspired by my idol, James Skinner.

Other than that, it’s always nice to have a chance to share with more than 700 people about my idea of deriving a trade and a little bit of the importance of money management. If you still remember what I said, money management is the only holy grail to trading success. Test it out if you still have doubt.

Haha… I’m proud to announce that I was not able to defend my title successfully in the overall individual category. In fact, I came in forth with a return of 87% in 3 nights. It’s ok as I did my best and I’m so proud to be able to stick with my own money management rule in each and every trade and at least I defended my title as being the champion in the age of above 30s category, if there is one. Haha..

Coming on top in the group category meant a lot more to me as it’s not about personal success but also bringing success to the people around you. I always believe in team work and if there isn’t any, any success or glory that we achieved would eventually fade away as it is kinda lonely if there is no one there to share the joy with you.

Finally, the result of the Options Trading Championship 2007 was released this afternoon at the Personal Wealth Forum and please put your hands together to welcome the champion from the Group event “The 4 Challengers”.

Over the past 1 week, there were countless rumour and speculation going around the net from Indonesia and Singapore stating how many percent the Indonesian team had achieved and how I had achieved 200 over percent portfolio growth to retain the title so on and so forth. Finally, it has come to an end. It was the most fruitful night for me on day 3 as I got to interact with a lot more great traders and I learnt so much from all of you.

I didn’t open up any trade on the last day and guess what, I spent most of my time building network and rapport with other traders around me and wow, I realised that it’s really “hidden dragon, crouching tiger”. Ha, it simply means that there were actually many “unknown” talented traders around me with great skills and personality. The profit that they made is tremendous and you would be surprised to see how “big” their initial accounts are.

It was a mixed night for me on day 2. However, I have to admit that it was an exciting night.

It’s a tradition for us since last championship that the 2nd day is the formal uniform day in which the group members would need to come with certain outfit which is identical. We have opted for black and white this time round to bring us luck and courage to trade. Lame colour but who cares as long as we like it, right?

I was not performing well on day 1 and that’s why when they announced the top 10 best trader, be it single trade, individual and teams event, my team and I were not in the top 10 at all, not even top 20, I guess.

Hi guys, meet The 4 Challengers team members for the 2007 Options Trading Championship.

I would like to welcome 2 new members, Yi Leong (left back) and Khor Khor (right back) to the team and also extend my gratefulness to Malcolm (front right) for agreeing to partner me again this year.
