Options Trading Championship 2007-Day 3
Finally, it has come to an end. It was the most fruitful night for me on day 3 as I got to interact with a lot more great traders and I learnt so much from all of you.
I didn’t open up any trade on the last day and guess what, I spent most of my time building network and rapport with other traders around me and wow, I realised that it’s really “hidden dragon, crouching tiger”. Ha, it simply means that there were actually many “unknown” talented traders around me with great skills and personality. The profit that they made is tremendous and you would be surprised to see how “big” their initial accounts are.
I’m so happy and honor to have taken a group photo with last year group champion “Candlesticks” and I believe this is one of the greatest gift that I’ve taken home with me. I spent a lot of great moment sharing and learning from you guys and thanks for being such a great contenders since last year that allow me to keep on pushing myself to be better. You guys did a great job as well this year and I’m proud of all of you.
Email and phone calls have started to come in since afternoon to ask about the results of the championship. Well, not much to shout about but according to the unofficial latest news from a Indonesia participant, they have won the single and group event this year with more than 100% growth. Congrats to all of you and I look forward to meeting you in person at the Personal Wealth Management Forum next week.
How about myself and what’s my results, perhaps you would ask, right? Ha.. Am I supposed to tell you? Well, as compared to last year, I didn’t perform as expected but what I can tell you is I still managed to grow my portfolio by more than 50% in 3 nights only. Is that bad? Nah, I think is good… But am I satisfied? That’s a definite no as my initial target is 100% portfolio growth. But it’s ok, I’ve done my best and most of all, i met so many great people in the competition.
Special thanks to Dr. Chiang for the guidance throughout my trading journey that allows me to consistently staying on top. Your words of wisdom for me will serve as an encouragement and reason for me to strive to be better.
A big thank to my team mates, Khor Khor, Malcolm and Yi Leong as well and if not because of you, I wouldn’t have achieved what I have gotten so far. Thanks for supporting me LOGIcally. You also made, right?
Thanks to Dzul for being such an inspiring figure and I always enjoy myself learning from you. Congrats for achieving the 1,000% in the Single Trade Event and you deserve every glory that you have already achieved.
Last but not least, thanks to all the people who were surrounding me last night that allowed me to have the chance to share with you my mediocre knowledge of trading. I’m sorry that I couldn’t remember all your names but I hope I did answer all your questions regarding trading.
Sorry to the organiser, especially Serena. I know I’m the main reason that caused the participants to run riot and I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. I thank you for spending time listening to me and you did a superbly great job in organising this event.
That’s all for the moment and I hope to see you all again in 2008. Remember, trade carefully and stay hungry!
