It was a mixed night for me on day 2. However, I have to admit that it was an exciting night.

It’s a tradition for us since last championship that the 2nd day is the formal uniform day in which the group members would need to come with certain outfit which is identical. We have opted for black and white this time round to bring us luck and courage to trade. Lame colour but who cares as long as we like it, right?

I was not performing well on day 1 and that’s why when they announced the top 10 best trader, be it single trade, individual and teams event, my team and I were not in the top 10 at all, not even top 20, I guess.

It’s never easy to place a trade where every single cents would affect your overall performance, especially on the expiration week. There are a lot of strategies which I couldn’t deploy due to timing as every open trades would need to be closed at the end of day 3 or else the whole team would be disqualified. That’s why whatever you are doing would affect the team as a whole and I have to be accountable for that.

I learned so much from my team members on the 2nd night and it turned out to be a fruitful night for us. We had lots of fun gapping up and down together and at the same time, making money. We celebrated each others’ profitable trade together and we shared the “joy” of taking losses as well as we always understand that taking losses is necessary because it’s part of the trading journey. As long as it’s calculated loss, it’s ok, isn’t it?

Oh ya, the event would be aired on CNBC today at around 4pm on Worldwide Exchange. I had the opportunity to meet Christine Tan and man, she is gorgeous.

I was informed on day 1 by the PR that I would be interviewed by CNBC as the past champion but it was cancelld later without being told to me due to “certain reason” which more or less I know why. But it’s ok for me as I understand their “concern”. No hard feeling…..

Day 3 is the moment of truth and we shall see how it turns out to be…..
