5 Things I Do To Raise My Vibrations
Stumbled across Jacklyn’s blog and learnt about this wonderful game that invites you to talk about 5 things that you do to raise your vibes. It started at Optimistlab and you can check out the post here and I strongly encourage you to take part as well.
I’m not taking part in this game but I would like to share with you the 5 things I do to raise my vibrations.
In my own definition, raising our vibrations simply means treasuring our own life and I believe we shall take care of our own life and give ourselves the best instead of hoping it from someone else. I believe taking charge is the first step towards successful and fulfilling life.
5 things I do to raise my vibrations:
1. Positive Attitude/Clear Goal
A positive attitude is clearly more than just saying positive things. A true positive attitude comes from building habits that lead to success and the only thing in life we have absolute control over is our thoughts and our attitudes.
One of the elements of positive attitude is having a clear and worthwhile goal or vision in mind as the focus of our thoughts will produce what we want in our mind. By setting goals, we can track our progress in pursuing our targets or dreams in life. We will also know if we have to double our efforts when we are falling short of what is expected.
My goals are my motivations to move on as I believe there is a part for us to play in this world. I’ve never thought of conquering the world but at this moment, my focus are on building a successful business and be profitable in my trades, not to mention the goal I previously declared here.
2. Gratitude
This is the most basic, yet important attitude we should have in order to be successful and have a better life. Everything happens for a reason and we have a choice to either choose to blame and rail or choose to learn and move on from it. It’s just a matter of choice.
I’m always thankful to every single person that has given me honest feedback although some are really cruel and ruthless. I personally benefited a lot from their genuine concern and I choose to take their honest feedback seriously and go deep into my subconscious mind and think about it. And if not because of them, I wouldn’t have improved so much as a person.
One of the persons that I owe gratitude to is my trading mentor, Dr. Clemen Chiang, who I have great respect to. If not because of him, I wouldn’t be doing what I am doing today and be where I am now. I’m always grateful to have attended his seminar that has greatly benefited me in a lot of ways.
3. Play To Win
Rich people play to win while poor people play not to lose. This statement has struck me when I first read about it in March 2006 and heard about it again one month ago from the author of the book itself, T Harv Eker.
Having a play to win mindset is a pure source of energy that keeps me moving towards achieving my goal in life. Our mind is a very powerful tool in creating what we want in life and we would get what we want if we focus all of our energy on it.
Just imagine having to choose to between two soccer teams with one playing to win while the other playing not to lose. Which one would you fancy more? Ok, there’s no right or wrong for this but just think about it from an investment point of view. Would you invest in a company that has a mission to go all the way out to maximize your profit or a company that exist to just not to make a lose? Which one would excite you more as an investor? Again, is there a right or wrong answer? I would say no as it all depends on your perception on it.
For me, I have chosen to adopt the play to win mindset in every aspect of my life as I believe everything is possible and worth attempting. If you play not to lose, you might as well stay away from it and that would definitely guarantee you not to lose.
I always say that attacking is the best defense but that doesn’t mean I have ignored or neglected my defense line. As I said, we all have a choice and we can choose to have the best attack AND a solid defense at the same time.
4. Take charge
Taking charge means taking full responsibility with our own life and most of all, our own action. We all make choices in our lives and when we start to take responsibility for those choices, we tend to choose and perform better for ourselves. I always believe we live in a world of cause and effect and being unsuccessful is an effect and not a cause but people tend to mix up the sequence.
You would have heard of people saying that the reason they couldn’t be wealthy or successful is because of the weak economy or lack of capital and that’s the causes of their effect, which is lack of money. They blame all the people around instead of themselves and play the role of a victim instead of taking responsibility.
For me, I believe that lack of money or being unsuccessful is a result (effect) while there must be reasons (cause) that prevent us in achieving excellence. I choose to work on those reasons so that I could get a better result at the end of the day instead of staying put and blame.
Unless we understand the correct sequence of cause and effect, or else we would still be in the victim mode and remain where we are now, which is mediocrity. I take full responsibility on where I am now and no matter what happens, I would take charge of it and fine tune my strategy and move forward again and again.
5. Focus
When we want something, we have to decide exactly what it is we want. If we don’t know what we want, there’s no way we are going to be able to focus on getting it. If we lock our focus and stick with it for as long as we have to, I believe eventually we will succeed or somewhere near succeed. And if we stick to one thing or one goal and focus on it, it’s virtually impossible to not reap the rewards of our actions.
Whatever happens around us will distract us unless we learn how to focus. Sometimes it seems easier to just go along with these distractions than to focus on the end goal, isn’t it?
Remember, if we let ourselves go along with the distractions, we are losing sight of our goals.
Focus is always one of the major challenges for many of us. We tend to do a lot of things that we perceive would give us great results, anticipating that the more we do, the better our lives would be. However, I beg to differ as I choose to focus all my energy on a few things instead of splitting my effort equally into 100 things, which perhaps would leave many things dangling around.
Yes, we still have the remaining unsettled things but I believe when we focus in doing a few things at a time, we could get it done in a more efficient and effective manner.

One of the elements of positive attitude can also be 100% committed to whatever we do and, exceed expectation
Great point, Jess… It’s very true that we need to be truly committed towards our goals and I believe that’s one of the most important element that we could not miss out.
Fully agreed, Wei Ping. One more “vibration” tip:
“Don’t Worry Be Happy”: if it does not help to feel bad, why not feel good and look good too?
“Pain & Pleasure” is another excellent self motivated energizer from AR.
Thank you for sharing, Billy. You are indeed a great vibrations to many of us in Freely
